What a busy year!14th September 2017
Lots has happened over the past year. We have been so busy, welcoming new staff members and saying farewell (for the short term) to others. We are continuing to expand the services we offer and our opening hours have increased to meet the demand for Friday afternoon appointments.
Welcome to Kate Rowe
Kate joined us in April from a practice in Tiverton. Kate lives locally and is a keen horsewoman, participating in eventing. She has a passion for cosmetic dentistry and short course braces, so if you have been looking for a smile makeover, just ask for a consultation.
Welcome back to Kimberley
Kimberley has returned from Maternity leave and is now here for four days a week.
Beth Jenkins, David’s nurse, has just had her baby – a healthy boy she has called Bodhi. Beth is loving motherhood, but we are hoping to persuade her to return in the Autumn.
Welcome to April Dyer
April is our new dental therapist so, like Kimberley, she can not only thoroughly clean your teeth, provide you with the best advice on how to prevent dental disease, she can also perform fillings, x-rays and extractions. April is currently with us on Wednesdays.
Gareth joined us in May last year and has been busy ever since carrying out complex root canal treatment on Whitehall patients and on those referred in from dentists in North Devon. To achieve the best possible results, he uses a whole host of the latest electronic instrumentation including the very latest operating microscope. This gives an incredibly close-up view of the inside of a tooth.
Gareth has been giving lots of talks to local dentists, including the local British Dental Association on the latest developments in endodontic treatment. Away from work, Gareth is kept busy with his young family, but does spare some time to watch rugby and can’t wait for the British Lions tour to New Zealand.
Nearly a year has gone by since David joined the practice as Jeremy’s business partner. He has loved meeting so many of you and has been overwhelmed by how welcome he’s been made to feel. He continues to provide dental implants for us, but also brings his experience of private dentistry from London
We have a new air polishing machine which is amazing at removing really tough stains – such as those from smoking. We can achieve a lot with our standard ultra-sonic cleaning, but we can take it to a new level with the air polisher. Patients also say it is painless. So if you have a special occasion coming up, or just want a spruce up for summer, please ask Kimberley or April.
We hope you like our new website! We have spent quite a bit of time refreshing the look and content to keep you up to date on the services we offer. We are also going to use our Facebook page for up to the minute information and special offers. Please like our page to get these offers in your news feed.
